Alexander Park

Today we went to another park for another picnic. The kids love doing things like this and getting out of the house for a while. This time, we decided to go to a park we have never been to so we packed up and went to Alexander Park at the top of Main Street hill. They all had a good time, ate all of their lunch and then headed home for a nap. All the fresh air and sun was wonderful!

Playing in the slide.

The whole crew~Bottom to top: Zoey, Mykayla, Makynna, Eva, Jasmin, Kristopher & Hayden

Yummy! Picnic lunch.

Piece Pipe Park

The sun was shining and we just couldn't help it. The park was calling us. We loaded up the stroller and walked to Piece Pipe Park to play. The kids had such a great time climbing and swinging and climbing some more. Then we walked all the way back. The bigger kids that walked, walked a long way and slept really good at nap time! The kids just can't get enough park time! They really love it, even if it invovles a long walk there and back!

The balance beam was just too wigley for Eva to feel comfortable walking across- so she decided to crawl!

Here I am helping Lexi up the chain ladder- she was scared and started backing down but I knew she could do it. She just needed a little encouragement and instruction. Turns out I was right and she was so proud of herself when she made it to the top!!

Jasmin doing the balance beam like a pro and Kris took a more steady road across.

Hayden hopping off the motorcycle.

Cowgirl Lexi is riding her horse into the sunset!

Even Sean tried the balance beam and did really great. This was the 'cool' thing to do at this park trip.

Kristopher got brave and walked across the balance beam too!

Here is me, holding Zoey and helping Makynna who got brave and tried it and then changed her mind a few steps into it.

She tried crawling after that. If it worked for Eva, maybe it would work for Makynna too.

They were playing pirate ship and I think Jasmin was the look-out!

Lexi and Eva after a very fast ride down the twirly slide.

Mykayla loved the little slide.

Lexi and Hayden playing catch- or something like that!

I don't think either of them actually caught a ball that was thrown by the other but maybe that was the game.

Eva and Makynna hanging out by the swings

Lexi loved the spongey balls that we brought along.

Jasmin, just being her silly self!

What a great group of kids I have!!

(Jasmin was not at all happy about having her picture taken:) )

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you mommies for sharing your wonderful kids with me. I really enjoy taking care of them, even on the challenging days! Here are some photos of your kids hard at work painting the beautiful vases that they gave you for Mother's Day. I really hope you enjoyed your day and your time with your families as much as I did. You are all fabulous mommies to these smart kids and are wonderful to work with. I am very lucky to have such a great bunch of mommies like you! Happy Mother's Day!
